What do you do when you’re tight on cash, have a bursting inbox, & a deadline for an article you have only half-started in your head?
You head to the library.
Easily spent an hour wandering and grabbing books. Looking at the stack next to me, I feel as though it’s a good cross-section of my brain.
From the top:
Six Easy Pieces - a essentials of physics book by my favorite phycisist, Richard Feynman (seriously, I read my first book by him at age 7)
Faith in the Valley - Iyanla Vanzang. Haven’t read her before, but I feel like I’m in a valley, and the book says it’s for women looking for peace. Who couldn’t use a bit more of that in their lives?
The Disappearing Spoon - subtitle? “And other true tales of madness, love, and the history of the world from the periodic table of elements.” How could I NOT pick it up?
Complete Painting and Drawing Handbook - a bit self-explanitory, considering I’m an artist. I just want to refine my drawing, as I’m now in love with drawing everything as I’ve discovered I actually can.
Everything - a book of early Lynda Barry comics? Count me in!
Colored Pencils Explorations - a colored pencil book + mixed media = happy me. Those Prismacolors have ruined me for anything else… *pets pencil case in bag*
Okay, okay. Back to the bursting inbox. And deadlines.
